Language - I will be using hardly any dialouge in my film trailer. The trailer will include music throughout with only a tiny bit of dialouge shown. Because the genre of my trailer is horror the terms in it will be relevant to horror.
Institution - I am working independently. I know this is a lot harder than working in a group but for me it will be benificial to my finished product. Although funding and far away locations are not accessable i will use the sources i have to my advantage. I find if i work on my own i can work a lot better than in a group. Working individually means my work will be fully mine, i can choose what i want to do and if anything goes wrong i am held responsible. Working independently works better for me as i will have no problem with arguing over cast, locations, props ect...
Ideology - I want my audience to feel tension when they watch the trailer or even scared. The things i use to do this would be black colour imagery, mysterious use of camera angles so they cannot see my protagonists face and very little dialougue. I will use the typical stereotypes for Horror genre.
Audience - As i have already stated my film will be aimed at an audience of students and above. I will grade the certificate of my film an 18. This will suit my target audience. I feel that because my trailer is for a horror film the certificate and target audience suits with the genre of my film. I obviously will not want the film to be aimed at young children when it will be of a scary nature.
Representation - The representation of my protagonist will be someone to be scared of, i do not want my audience to feel sorry for him or to like him as a character. I will portray my protagonist in a way in which people will be wary of him EG, dressing him in dark colours, showing him in the darkness, and not showing his face properly. My victim on the other hand is someone i want the audience to feel sympathy for. I will show her in a distressed way with no sense of power which the protagonist has. I will show her tied up to show vunrability.
